DENVER, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), the world's largest owner, manager and developer of distribution facilities, announced today that it has joined ENERGY STAR, a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that aims to protect the environment through energy-efficient practices and products.
As an ENERGY STAR partner, ProLogis pledges to assess its current energy consumption and operating and maintenance practices, as well as identify strategies that will continually improve energy performance enterprise-wide. In support of achieving its goals, ProLogis will gain access to ENERGY STAR's guidance for energy-efficient management tools and resources as it works to lessen its impact on the environment and overall energy expenditure.

"ENERGY STAR is a conduit for property stakeholders to pursue energy-efficient practices that are good for the environment and an organization's bottom line.
