ProLogis Announces Third Quarter Leasing Activity in Mexico

- New Lease Agreements with Six Customers Totaling Approximately 526,000 Square Feet -

MEXICO CITY, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), the world's largest owner, manager and developer of distribution facilities, announced today it has signed lease agreements for approximately 526,000 square feet of newly developed distribution space in Mexico during the third quarter of 2008.

"Many of Mexico's industrial markets are evolving into major logistics hubs, supporting requirements for distribution space in areas like Tijuana and Monterrey," said Silvano Solis, ProLogis senior vice president and head of Mexico operations. "We believe our locations provide customers with excellent access to Mexico's major transportation corridors and are pleased with leasing activity in the third quarter."

The third quarter transactions include leases with:

-- Evenflo, a leading manufacturer of infant equipment, baby care and juvenile products, which leased approximately 73,500 square feet at ProLogis Park Cedros Tepotzotlan in Mexico City, Mexico. The agreement marked the fourth lease between the two companies; Evenflo now occupies approximately 483,000 square feet of distribution space with ProLogis in locations across North America.

-- Almacen Logistico de la Fronterra, Komyo America, Toyota Tsusho Mexico, a leading manufacturer of packaging materials and a leading North American retailer, which together leased a total of 452,500 square feet in Juarez, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana and Mexico City, respectively.
