ProLogis Leases 416,000 Square Feet Near Toronto

- Company's Canadian Portfolio Now 100 Percent Leased -

TORONTO, July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), a leading global provider of distribution facilities, announced today it has signed two, second-quarter lease agreements in Toronto, totaling 416,000 square feet.

Emerson Canada, a global manufacturing and technology company, has signed a lease for 171,000 square feet, while a leading consumer packaging company has signed a lease for 245,000 square feet. Both companies will occupy the space at ProLogis Park Bolton, a newly developed distribution facility located near Toronto.

ProLogis Park Bolton is a one-building, 416,000-square-foot distribution center located on approximately 22 acres near the intersection of Highway 50 and Mayfield Road in Caledon, Ontario. The site features quick access to intermodal and highway systems in order to serve the distribution needs of the Greater Toronto Area and Eastern Canada.

The facility is registered with the Canada Green Building Council for LEED-CS Silver certification and incorporates a number of sustainable design and construction techniques, including extensive use of recycled and locally sourced construction materials and the installation of an energy-efficient fluorescent lighting system. Construction on the facility was completed in 2009.

ProLogis' industrial portfolio in Canada totals approximately 2.2 million square feet in seven buildings. Additional ProLogis customers in the area include American Eagle Outfitters, HP Canada, Southwire, Avad Canada and Exel.
