ProLogis Leases 179,000 Square Feet in its U.S. Development Portfolio
-- Company Signs Agreements With Two Customers in South Florida and Cincinnati --
DENVER, Dec. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), the leading global provider of distribution facilities, announced today it signed two fourth-quarter leases in its U.S. development portfolio totaling 179,000 square feet.
Shoreline Aerospace, a distributor of aero systems for defense and commercial purposes, will occupy approximately 73,000 square feet at ProLogis Park Sawgrass Building One in Coral Springs, Florida near Interstates 75, 95 and the Florida Turnpike. The newly built, LEED Silver certified distribution center is now fully leased.
In addition, a manufacturer in the bedding industry will occupy 106,000 square feet at ProLogis Park 275 Building Four, situated approximately 10 miles south of Cincinnati in Hebron, Kentucky.
"The prolonged absence of new construction continues to support leasing of our newly developed facilities," said Larry Harmsen, ProLogis president of the United States and Canada. "At the end of the third quarter, our U.S. and Canadian completed development portfolio was approximately 91 percent leased, and we continue to see pockets of improving leasing activity throughout the United States."
